Tuesday Day 40th 2011 2012

As you can see, you need to "please excuse my dear aunt sally!"

Day 40

What happened this Thursday?  What didn’t happen on Tuesday?

We started out with CNN students
Yemen’s protest and unrest with the on-going government that is in power.  We had yet again another series of floods, this time in Thailand;    The racing world mourned the death of Dan Wheldon and we discussed how modern engineering helps keeps fatalities to a low amount.    President Obama continues to tour across the country promoting his Job Bill.   Tonight the Republican presidential hopefuls have another debate, this time it is in Las Vegas.   There`s a new rule out that could warn us when we get close our cell phone minutes or text limits.  The Federal Communications Commission, the FCC and most of America`s wireless carriers agreed on a new deal Monday that we would begin receiving warnings “prior” to earning large fines.  Then finally they talked about a California school district that handed out color coded “rewards” cards depending on how well you did on the year-end state testing.   Those who earned high scores received top services and increased discounts at local businesses while those that had the plain card due to less than stellar scores had to eat in their own cafeteria and no discounts.

Heritage Project/Filming and DEAR time...
We have now recorded 11 of the 30 heritage projects.  At the end of this project, we will send home a DVD and you can see the final product.
