Day 29 in 2011 2012

It was Monday and it was our first real Autumn day.

We started off with the CNN student news.
We had three opportunities to link today’s newscast with our Constitution lessons.   The Bill of Rights and how the apply or don’t apply to al-Awlaki.  We then discussed the Supreme Court beginning their newest session and how they decided what is and isn’t constitutional.  Finally we discussed our “right to assemble” and how this applies to the protesting/assembling going on in Wall Street right now.

DEAR time:  Everyone needs to bring their Reading Around the World sheet in on Wednesday.

Reading Time -- we just completed our 2nd story about Alabama and Auburn, the Toomer Trees and finding out more about this overzealous fan.

Math:  We continue our work with larger division.

After math they had P.E. before the rain landed.

After lunch, we spent the remainder of our day:
1.  Modeling how to effectively complete our day planner, I used Chris’ day planner and wrote exactly how their day planner should look.
2.  Discussing how the work appeared to be distributed and how more work should possibly be completed on Monday and Tuesday evening so Thursday evening is not super challenging.
3. We spent the last 35+ minutes working on homework and working with Mrs. Silva or myself.

MMMR Rap coming at you!!
