More problems in Greece, violence continues in Syria, China allegedly is undervalueing their money, La Nina is causing some islands to lack drinking watter, and finally the NBA is looking to cancel some games and millionaires and super millionaires can’t agree how to best share their riches.

Library time -- the students displayed much better respect for Mrs. Klein during their visit today!!
We then returned for social studies. We reviewed the expectations for the President Obama letter. Here is the presentation and what is expected.
Math:
We discussed the “power of one” and how it relates to factoring, dividing and fractions.
Then we had a long discussion regarding “mean” and “average”; Why do we use it?
U.A. time -- working on Sieve of Erathosthenes

Writing Assignment -- we were working on a secret undercover writing assignment. It is homework to have it type out and ready for tomorrow. However I can not tell you what it is about since it is a secret. Students had exactly 30 minutes to write their two paragraph personal letter however being the end of the day, some students did not choose to best utilize their class time.
