Tuesday, #35 2012 2013 (10/16/12)

Day 35 of our journey together!

It was a day of technology, celebrating and a large dancing chicken.

We began the day with a celebration and recognizing all the hard work the students did fund raising and jogging for our Jaws’a’thon.

Ms. McGovern held up her part of the bargain and on “boss’s day”  she dressed as a large chicken and danced for the entire school!!

After that performance we were tasked with the challenging of returning to the computer lab and beginning our technology Tuesday fun & learning.  Read about all activities right here.

In theory your son/daughter should be able to explain some information about tonight’s presidential debate and also explain to you some details about the Cuban Missile crisis.

We started a quick lesson on “pre” algebra.  We covered what a variable and an expression is.
Here are our quick notes and my advice to copy the examples into their math notebook.
If your son/daughter want further explanation or if they want to earn Khan Academy points/badges.  They can watch this. (just make sure they log into Khan prior to watching).

We ended the day with science rotation and math/art rotation.

Students that paid for photos received their photos back today.  They came yesterday however I forgot to hand them back.

Kind regards,
Mr. Hubbard
