Your 2012 Western Division Champs!
Day 26

Sorry about yesterday.  Dev had a slight fever and congestion.   On the days that Tam works then I get sick patrol.  However we are blessed to have the extremely talented Mrs. Cooper to run the ship.  It similar to when Captain Kirk handed it off to the extremely qualified Mr. Spock.

Tonight’s debate -- students are encouraged to watch the debate, watch it edited on Youtube afterwards, or try to find a “somewhat” unbiased recap of it.   They can either do a short write up, a podcast, a quick video, or a powerpoint of what they took from the debate.  Looking for specifics from the debate and not generic “they were great, they were boring.etc..”

Field trip to Lawrence Livermore Lab --- thanks to all of the parent chaperones.  We got there on time and it was drama free with no one getting lost.
Please ask your son/daughter what they learned and what stood out about today’s field trip.  Ask them to explain the marshmellow, the loud explosion,  elephant tooth-paste, four students were able to “light up my life” by holding hands, and biking.

Math:
Mo’ division, Mo’division and even mo’division!!!
We practiced more with the decomposition and using prime factoring.
Here are the notes from today and I even did an example of division showing all of the various division strategies EXCEPT for traditional.
