CNN for students.   The points of interests that we covered were President Obama’s trip to Afghanistan, the history of “May Day,”  Delta Airlines recent purchase of an oil refinery, and the different views regarding the recovery or stagnation of our economy.  

Reading from Seaman -- the Corp of Discovery and their adventures begin.

Writing and Comparing and contrasting life during the Corp of Discovery with life in 2012.

Science with Wilmott  -- more test prep practice

Vocabulary with this week’s Lewis and Clark’s words.  

Singing

Brainpop’s that re-review the 4th grade science standards that our tested in our May science test.

Reviewing and having last night’s math test assessments graded.

Homework for the week:

“NO Excuses Week!!”  
testing is next week and we need to be on top of our game.  

Bring in a rough draft of your compare and contrast paragraphs.  Students had 30 minutes to work on their ven diagrams and/or start writing their two paragraphs.

Language Arts -- State testing prep
Questions 37-54 due on Thursday
Questions 55-75 due on Friday

Math -- State Testing
35-51 due on Thursday
52-65 due on Friday

Cargo Homework due on Thursday:
Bring back your corrected test on Thursday.  

Science due on Wednesday
85, 86 and 87 due on Tuesday of next week.

Take a walk or do some sort of “movement” every single day that lasts 30 minutes.  Enjoy the weather and enjoy the benefits of increased blood to the brain.

Get AT LEAST 10 hours of sleep.  See all the benefits right here.  
If you wake up at 7:00 a.m. then go to sleep at 9:00 pm.
If you wake up at 7:30 a.m. then go to sleep at 9:30 pm.
