Week 22 and day 99
Cnn students --
Syria continued from yesterday’s discussions. The USA has closed its
embassy in Syria. Since the rebellion began 1000 protesters have been
killed. Europe and the deadly cold winter continues. Snow levels and
temperatures are at their lowest since 1999. Schools and many
businesses are closed due to weather difficulties. Republican primaries
and caucuses are today in Colorado, Missouri, and Minnesota. Finally
to help African American families with their genealogy efforts the
government is working with regional families to build records from
family letters, slave trade documents and wills so people can piece
together their family’s history.
Soul Shoppe assembly -- about being a friend and making a friend.
science -- test today. 11 students did not complete the science study guide on time see below for the list.
A
special Soul Shoppe visit with our class hosted by Asher. We 20+
minutes discussing the need to be a supportive friend and pledging to
support some of our buddies who could use a friend right now.
Math
We
reviewed last night’s math homework. It seemed that about a consistent
20 to 25% were missing questions by having their decimal off one place
to the left or the right. Students are STRONGLY encouraged to rewrite
the original problem after doing their place value movement (i.e. bunny
hops).
