It was a day created for lovers; lovers of language arts, math and science.
We began the morning with a “special” Cargo rotation first thing the morning. It was more geometry practice as we master those geometry definitions and angle knowledge.
We then did some assessments so we can work strategically in preparations for the May testing.
Math:
What is X% of a certain number?
Example, what is 23% of 85?
0.23 * 85 = 19.55
23/100 * 85/1

Planning for a big test...
Nuggets of knowledge that we discussed:
Just like you can’t walk your dog all at once, you can’t study for a test all at once.
Sleep better to think better.
The importance of a strategic diet.
The importance of being well-hydrated
After lunch they exchanged Valentine’s Day card and then they played some hilarious “Minute to Win It” games. My favorite was watching them try and eat Oreo cookies and stack Ding Dongs on their heads. A super thank you to our room moms, Mrs. Merrill and Mrs. Weiser, for putting on the great competitions and thank you to everyone that brought the goodies.
Kind regards,
Ron Hubbard

"There are two things that I want you to make up your minds to: first, that you are going to have a good time as long as you live - I have no use for the sour-faced man - and next, that you are going to do something worthwhile, that you are going to work hard and do the things you set out to do."
- Theodore Roosevelt Christmastime 1898
