CNN Students
A very interesting discussion on how in the future the USA may have to negotiate or consider how they will obtain valuable minerals and elements that are found in other countries. We also learned about how James Cameron is helping out our ocean science efforts by funding a deep sea exploration. Finally we learned about an everyday hero that is putting together some nice gifts and tote bags for young people battling cancer.
Math test -- we reviewed our algebra and our algebraic methods before beginning today’s test.
Science -- students received their test results back. The majority of the class returned with large smiles.
More food chain fun....as a follow up to yesterday’s lesson on food chains. We played this game by competing against each other. Here is the game if they want to play at home.
Singing
Grammar -- we reviewed yesterdays and then did a few problems from tonight’s work.
Short story -- everyone was able to have their short story read two or three more times with people at their table. We need to have these either saved to their skydrive or emailed to me so we can rock and roll tomorrow.
Pi Day --
Today is known as pi day since pi begins 3.14 and March 14th is written 3.14
So we did a few activities with Pi
Watched a Brainpop regarding Pi
So your kids may come home demanding pizza and pie for dinner tonight. You have been warned!
We ended the day with a visit to Mrs. Cargo’s class.
Kind regards,
