Tuesday #132 2012-2013

Day 132 of week 31

Welcome, it has been a while since we all last chatted.

Monday went great.  Some students were a tad sleepy however the day started rocking and rolling and everything was back to normal.  We spent a portion of Monday reviewing our most recent math and language arts assessments (the one’s we completed prior to spring break).

Students then worked with each other and myself reviewing curriculum we missed.  Students also had an opportunity to work on www.prepdog.org , www.ixl.com and www.scootpad.com Students should be able to verbalize to you what SPECIFIC areas they are working on over the next three weeks until state testing.   If they can’t ask them to bring home their results so you can see where we are at going into these final three weeks before testing.

Today I attended a technology presentation on potential future software therefore the students worked with a substitute teacher.  They still worked in the computer lab and they also had their normal science and math/art rotations.

Field trip is still on for next Thursday.  I will contact everyone tomorrow with more specific details and I will confirm with the office about who is ok to drive and who is not ok to drive.  If you know you have not turned in your car insurance within the last 6 months, please get that information to the office ASAP.

I’ll also update you on the testing schedule next week.  In a nutshell it will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of both testing weeks.   Every day at 10:30 through 12:30 we will have the tests therefore it is super important if you child can sleep well, exercise more frequently and eat  a hearty - low sugar based breakfast on those six mornings.

Kind regards,
Mr. Hubbard
