Another great analysis written by Daniel Coyle author of The Talent Code. He talks about how creative people consistently throw away their initial work to edit and improve upon it.
This is super important if you have a student or a son/daughter that plagued themselves with perfectionism. They should realize that their "art" whatever that may be is constantly evolving and adapting.
As a teacher this article lessened some of my guilt about not recycling more of my Smartboard lessons, especially the ones in math, since each year I add something different or try to add examples relevant to what is in that class' circumstance or context.
