We spent about 40 minutes walking through, talking notes and discussing the Theme 2 Study guide. Students really should use this in CONJUNCTION WITH THEIR LARGE PRACTICE BOOK and study the ideas and rules that will be covered on Wednesday’s test.
If the study guide is lost or whatever, he is the link to a new one:

You will find the test version A (w/answers), the notes we took Friday, and a great Powerpoint lesson created in class by our own Ms. Sonne.
We spent 90 minutes working on our theme 2 projects. A few computer hick-ups however we seemed to be working our way through them.
We spent the last part of the day discussing getting ready for the week, how to best study for the Theme 2 test, the turkey trot (aka the jogathon) and our community soup.
Art Night is at Dublin Elementary this Wednesday evening. Please look at Thursday’s Shark newsletter for the exact time. It is free, there is a shaving cream station and tons of other great interactive art.
Turkey Trot (aka the Jogathon), Thursday, November 18th -- 100% of all money that is raised will go directly to our class. Last year we were able to purchase two classroom digital cameras, two splitters for our computers, and other great tools.
Thursday, November 18th -- our classroom community soup. As a tradition, I like to have all the students bring in one small ziplock bag of their favorite vegetable (precut please). Everyone dumps their vegetables into the pot, I bring the stock and some spices. We sit in a circle sharing what we are thankful for while enjoying a hot cup of soup. Families are welcome to attend since we usually have tons of soup left over. More details to come....
Kind regards,
Mr. Hubbard

Reading Around the World -- please have pages for the first trimester signed off by this Friday. 600 minimum = C and 800 is A.
Projects -- most work should be done at class. However if a student is super fired up or excited, they made do some work for the project at home. However the studying for the math test and the theme 2 should be considered higher at home priorities.
